Narsarsuaq
Narsarsuaq is the airport and gateway (from Reykjavik or Copenhagen) into South Greenland. Eric the Red found this area so beautiful that he named the new country "Greenland". Narsarsuaq is conveniently located in short reach of all major tourist sights in South Greenland with daily excursions from Hotel Narsarsuaq through the season.
South Greenland a UNESCO World Heritage Site
South Greenland has become "The almost forgotten Gem of Greenland" which is so unfair, as the area is loaded with treasures: Deep blue fjords with drifting colourful icebergs contrasting the fertile and green mountain slopes, active glaciers and the inland ice cap, UNESCO Heritage historic sites from the Viking Age, colourful cozy settlements and towns - all within easy reach.
